Craig Alexander Matthews,
Artistic Director
Mr. Matthews formerly served as Minister of Music for the Second Baptist Church of South Richmond.  He is an instrumental/choral music education graduate of Central Michigan University (Mount Pleasant, MI), he also received a Master of Divinity Degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.

During his career, he served as artistic director for the Richmond Symphony’s, “In Harmony” choral series; following the tenure of Dr. Marvin V. Curtis.  During his tenure with “In Harmony”, he was asked by Richmond Symphony’s music director, George Manahann, to write something for the orchestra.  The result of that request was, “Conversations: A Gospel Piano Concerto.”  This is Mr. Matthews’ 6th season with the Richmond Boys Choir.

Joseph Wallace Wimbush,
Assistant Artistic Director
Mr. Wimbush is a graduate of Randolph Macon College.  He currently holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Production Systems.  He is a choir director of Second Baptist Church – West End, is a DJ, and produces an internet radio program.  Mr. Wimbush is also an alumnus of the Richmond boys Choir.

Shalena Vazquez,
Business Manager

Ms. Vazquez holds a Master’s of Science degree in Sociology and a minor in Child Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA  Ms. Vazquez has a very diverse educational background including accounting, bookkeeping, counseling, credit and legal analysis, paralegal and teaching.
